Portfolio en Fotógrafos Artísticos

Desde hoy se puede ver una selección de 13 fotografías mías en el portal Fotógrafos Artísticos, una web dirigida por Jorge Ontalba dedicada a la divulgación de la fotografía de autor. Estoy muy satisfecho de formar parte de este colectivo debido al talento y a la diversidad temática de sus miembros.

From today a selection of 13 my photographies is available in Fotógrafos Artísticos website , directed by Jorge Ontalba and dedicated to the spreading of the Fine Art photograhy. I `m very pleased of keeping part of this group due to the talent and the thematic diversity their members.

Las personas que utilizamos filtros ND y ND graduados conocemos de la existencia de la marca Singh Ray. Gozan de buena reputación y grandes fotografos los utilizan... recientemente me pasé por su pagina web y descubrí que habían abierto un blog con artículos diversos. En ellos hablan algunos fotografos y muestran sus trabajos. Lo más interesante es como cuentan el uso que hacen de sus filtros. Muy aconsejable.

"To many my work represents a state of tranquillity, of Zen, of calm but also of drama. I'm often asked if this is who I am, or if my art is a way of escaping from something else. My answer is that this state is something I am celebrating! A state of harmony and balance – a state of equilibrium!

Using long exposures, sometimes hours, I'm capturing a slow-motion sequence of seemingly infinite movements and changes surrounding static objects and letting these elements blend into a single visual plane. It is the graphic representation of the determination and resilience of these static objects against the gentle yet powerful calm of their surroundings that to me signifies the equilibrium.

For me, photography is a visual medium that offers me the opportunity to express the way I see and feel things around me. I don’t take pictures! – I make photographs! Some people like them – some don’t! You see what you see!"

"Born in Albi (France) in 1974, I have been practicing photography for several years just for immortalizing special events happening with my relatives.

It was only in 2005, when I arrived in Bordeaux that I gave to the photography a different sense.

I joined the collective of SPBordeaux photographers, where it became a reel passion for me.

Being of an eclectic nature, I am trying all photographic types.

Through the meeting other photographers, and my passion for marine landscapes, I give little by little to my work an orientation to a photographic style, where square format and the long exposure become two evidences.

My approach with the photography has something instinctive, like an impulse which makes me press on the shutter release at a precise time in order to capture the place, the ambiance, people..."
